A dynamic and innovative educator, Hilary prepares classroom curriculum based on Pygmy Giraffe’s children’s books. She also works as the supervisor of the Phoenix Zoo’s trails and tours program, which allows her to interact with all age levels to teach about animals (like why giraffes have blue tongues).

Hilary has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Biological Sciences from Miami University. When she’s not writing curriculum or working at the zoo, she’s horseback riding, hiking streams in search of native fish, or binge-watching shows with her Dalmatian.
